Hey Miners!

Mine Your Business is 84% Funded, that's a 9% jump since our last update and it's thanks to all of you!

The Friendly Competition Update

As most of you know from the last update, we had a #BackerRaid competition against our friends over at the Fortify KS campaign page. Many people from both campaigns participated in the #BackerRaid event, and I am happy to report that the Mine Your Business raiders won by a very narrow margin!

What does this mean?!

As a reward, we are unlocking the 1st stretch goal: the Custom Screen Printed Meeples! As long as the campaign funds all backers will now receive the Custom Screen Printed Meeples! While we were at it we crunched some numbers and adjusted the rest of the stretch goals. You can see an updated image on the Kickstarter page.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the #BackerRaid from both sides, the team from the Fortify campaign were so pleased with how well the community responded that they unlocked a solo mode for their game. In the end, we are all winners! We can't thank you enough for joining in the raid!

New Content

Today, Tom of Slickerdrips recorded his live playthrough of Mine Your Business where he showcased the solo mode of the game. He played through Chapter 1 (Player Vs. Environment) and Chapter 2 (Player Vs. Environment and Goblin). The video has been added to the Kickstarter campaign, but you can also view it here!

Podcast

The Game Deflators recently invited me to speak on their podcast where we discussed a mix of board games and video games. You can listen to the podcast by click the image below!

Reminder

The "A Miner Competition" on the Kickstarter Campaign page is still active and gives backers a fun way to unlock some extra goodies. We would love to have some more participation!

How It Works

Every backer is assigned a team based on their backer number, you can go to the campaign page to see what backer number you have and what team you're on. Purple, Orange, Yellow, Blue, or Green.

Once you know what team you are on, you vandalize a goblin sign outside the mine in your team color and post it to a social media of your choice with the #MineYourBusiness so we can track it. You can read the full details on the main Kickstarter page.

Hey Miners!!

Mine Your Business is 75% FUNDED thanks to all of you! We are definitely on our way to hitting our funding goal and I'd like to share a new idea, one that I know will help us reach that goal!

A Friendly Competition

I met Jason and Caleb, at the World Series of Board Gaming event. These fellow small publishers (Barrel Aged Games), and now friends, ran an idea by me that I thought was brilliant! It's something they wanted to try out and a fun way for us as small game publishers to support each other that I've never seen done before on Kickstarter.

As you may or may not be aware, projects on Kickstarter are featured higher on the rankings and gather more steam by:

1) The $$ amount that is pledged to the campaign

2) The number of Backers backing the project

3) The number of Comments the project has

While we cannot directly affect #1 on the list, with your help, we believe we can affect #2 and #3 !!

I would like to start a #BackerRAID with the Barrel Aged Games teams game "FORTIFY"

Jason and Caleb's newest game, FORTIFY is on Kickstarter right now, and I want to do what we can to help a fellow small publishing company!

In the spirit of being in Las Vegas while we were talking about this we decided to make a wager.... If we can get more of the Mine Your Business Backers to head to the FORTIFY project, back the game (even if it is only for $1), then post in the Comments: #BackerRAID MINE YOUR BUSINESS then we will unlock something for the Mine Your Business campaign! Now, Jason and Caleb will be asking their backers to do the same thing!

To recap, in order to help out another small publisher, and unlock something fun for Mine Your Business:

2) Back the game (even if it's just for $1).

3) Post in their comments: #BackerRAID MINE YOUR BUSINESS

Jesse recently emailed me letting me know that he had filmed content for Mine Your Business, he is editing it now, so keep an eye out for that!

Grant Lyon

If you haven't seen it yet, Grant Lyon has a hilarious board game stand up comedy routine. He recently released a video on Mine Your Business! It's on our Kickstarter page, but you can also view it here

Slickerdrips

Tom will be live streaming Mine Your Business on his YouTube channel Wednesday Oct 13th at 8pm BST, 3pm EST, or 12pm PST. Make sure to check it out! I'll be available in the comments to answer any questions.

Gnomified Pledge Update - Be In The Game!

Attention fellow Miners! Exciting news!

We have been working closely with our partners to present a pretty great addition to your game! Now that things are in place, we have decided to update the Gnomified Miner pledge so that you'll be able to play Mine Your Business as yourself! 

Not only will our artist Gabi "Gnomifiy" an image that you share with us, we will now also be providing you with your very own custom meeple of the gnomified artwork! This means you will have a Gnome meeple of yourself made that you can play the game with!

We will be opening up the "Gnomified Miner" pledge level so more people can participate and enjoy having their very own custom meeple. 

If you have already pledged and you would like to upgrade your pledge to the "Gnomified Miner" pledge, this can be done by following these steps:

Step1: Click the "Manage Your Pledge" button. (located at the top of the page)

Step2: Click the "Change Your Pledge" button.

Step3: Choose the pledge level "Gnomified Miner"

Hello Miners!

First and foremost, thank you all so much for supporting and backing Mine Your Business. This being the first hobby style game under Envy Born Games publishing umbrella, your support means the world to us! I am happy to share a handful of exciting announcements. (We have a bunch more coming!)

50%+ Funded

I am very happy to report that we recently passed the 50% funding mark for Mine Your Business, this couldn't have been achieved without your help! We have several events, marketing, and more preview videos that will be released over the next few week that we know will get us to that 100% funded goal! 

World Series of Board Gaming

Today is the first day of the WSBG event, and we have a booth the whole week specifically to demo play Mine Your Business with fellow gamers! This will be a great opportunity for us to show case and build a bit more awareness around Mine Your Business and get some more backers to join the campaign! We will be sure to share a ton of pictures from the event!

New Videos and Content

As stated earlier in this update we have a lot of content from creators that will be released throughout the campaign and I will do my best to mention these as they are released. Kyle from Good_gaymes released a  quick explanation on tiktok of Mine Your Business. If you are on tiktok make sure to check it out, like the video and follow! Lets do our best to support the content creators that support us!
